Alert--"Windows 10 October 2018 update deleting personal files automatically"
Windows 10 clients are being cautioned after a noteworthy issue was found with the October 2018 refresh.
aecently a few Windows 10 fans who downloaded the October update have been hit by an unexpected issue.
The PC clients took to Windows 10 discussions and Reddit to guarantee the most recent Microsoft update had been erasing a portion of their own documents.

One of the windows 10 user wrote:- ”Last night I updated to 1809, and it all went smoothly, but then I find that all my files in Documents are DELETED.
"Gone. Poof. This included numerous vital documents and financial information.
"Indeed, I backup (I think - utilizing Windows Backup to a NAS).But this is pretty bad. Did no one in the first two rings run into this yet?”
They included: “I understand (from the news) that this happens to all files in Documents that aren't synced to OneDrive.
“Further, the Documents folder is really an agglomeration of "Documents" from several different paths - not sure how that works, and it may or may not relate.”
While in a post on Reddit another Windows 10 client stated: "So subsequent to refreshing I found that my reports, pictures, music, recordings are no more".
Reacting to the Redditor, one client stated: "I lost my D:\Document folder.
"It isn't designed as a records library and it's not even in framework drive!
“I do not have backup for this because I think the system upgrade should never ever touch non-system drive.
“Thank god I recovered all my data with Recuva.
"I think the update tool downloads the new framework picture to the archive organizer and afterward erases it for cleaning up, because I found the erased esd record in the evacuated D:\Document."
What's more, now, following these reports, Microsoft has pulled the Windows 10 October 2018 update.
The help page for the Windows update now shows this message: "We have delayed the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all clients as we examine isolated reports of clients missing some files after updating".
Microsoft included: "We will give an upate when we continue revealing the Windows 10 October 2018 Update to clients."
The Windows 10 October 2018 Update gives a group of new functionality for the fans of Operating system.
Android clients can download the "Your Phone" application that will enable photographs and messages to be right away open on a Windows 10 gadget.
Apple fans are also able to seamlessly transition from a browser on their iPhone to a PC thanks to a new "linked phone" feature.
While the Windows 10 refresh, which right now can't be downloaded, likewise carries with it 157 new emoticons and changes existing ones.
